This Limited Edition Mark XII was produced for Cathay Pacific, the Hong Kong airline for it’s 50th company jubilee. The dial was the same as the one of the standard Mark XII and it had a black buffalo strap. The back of the case was engraved with the logo of the 50th jubilee "50 1946 - 1996" and the serial number of the limitation "XXXX/1000". Cathay told me that only about 80 pieces of the stainless steel version and about 30 pieces of the gold version have been sold. The remaining watches have been sent back to IWC where the special engraved backs have been removed and they have been sold as standard Mark XII.
